Our Story
Passionate about recruitment, but even more passionate about getting it right
Since graduating in Marketing in 2000, she had done nothing else but recruitment. Her passion for recruitment was still so apparent, but her passion for the corporate, pushy, numbers approach to recruitment was not.
Trapeze was launched from home with a few savings in the bank, a very supportive partner, and the desire and passion to put in place all the good things learnt in recruitment and to not implement all the bad practices witnessed. After two quite lonely years of working from home, building the business and very careful cash flow planning in September 2018, the company was in a position to move into lovely brand-new offices in Manston, Kent. Soon after, Trapeze hired its first member of staff in November 2018.
As normality has returned post covid, we have witnessed continued growth. Recruitment cannot be reinvented, but there is clearly a market for what we have to offer the recruitment industry. Trapeze is extremely proud and thankful for its very loyal clients and candidates, and the growth and market share it has witnessed since the company started trading. Trapeze must be doing something right; maybe the slightly different approach is what our clients and candidates desire – so Trapeze will keep doing this, just more of it!
Key Milestones
- July 2016 – Trapeze was launched from home
- September 2018 – moved to new offices in Manston, Kent
- November 2018 – Emma Hopkins joined Trapeze
- January 2019 – Trapeze launched its Temp division
- March 2020 – COVID! We shut the doors. Emma was furloughed, Jo worked from home, we still managed to recruit for many of our clients
- July 2022 – Normality was back, we celebrated our 6th year of trading and despite COVID, the business really grew and we had our best year of trading
- February 2023 – Jodie Davis joined the Team. All part of the plan for further growth
